    The framework created by the National Quality Policy is the one that may be referenced when examining the interelationships of the regulatory bodies.  The specific objectives of the policy is to create a streamlined and harmonised approach in the regulatory regime, particularly that which relates to quality infrastructure.  What is being championed is that regulatory bodies must conform to the international best practices.
  4. Is the NQI being designed to make room for easy entry by private sector organisations, which are currently not involved in the project, but might want to come in later after the infrastructure has been set up?
    The NQI is meant to create a level and streamlined playing field for all stakeholders be they private or public.  Its outcome will not only make it easy for the new entrants to carry out their but also for the existing establishments.
